I’m James Geercke, founder of Frozen Breath — an Australian Wim Hof Method instructor, breathwork coach, and resilience trainer. I'm an army veteran and endurance athlete who helps people build physical and mental resilience using breathwork, cold exposure, and resilience training.

After navigating my own spinal injury, chronic pain, and mental health challenges following military service, I discovered how powerful tools like breathwork and cold exposure can be for recovery, stress regulation, and performance.

Today I work with athletes, veterans, runners, and everyday people who want to reconnect with their bodies, improve resilience, and breathe through whatever life throws their way — even if that sometimes includes 1°C water.

My Services

Everything I offer comes from lived experience as well as extensive study in breathwork, cold exposure, movement training, and nervous system regulation. My background includes military service, endurance athletics, recovery from spinal injury, chronic pain, and overcoming addiction — experiences that shaped the way I approach resilience and recovery.

The Barefoot Basics Running Workshop teaches you how to run the way the human body was designed to move.

In this workshop, you’ll learn the benefits of barefoot and minimalist running, including improved foot strength, balance, and injury resilience. You’ll also learn how to safely transition away from heavily cushioned shoes without overloading your body.

There are many breathwork and cold exposure coaches, but only a few have learned the Wim Hof Method directly from Wim Hof himself. Through my work alongside Wim, I’ve gained firsthand experience in breathwork training, cold exposure, and resilience practices that have helped people worldwide improve their health, performance, and mental strength.

From sharing ice baths to assisting at large Wim Hof events, I’ve seen how these techniques are delivered at the highest level. As a former army veteran, I’ve experienced firsthand the impact of high stress, physical injury, chronic pain, trauma, and addiction. I know what it takes to rebuild from the ground up, both physically and mentally.
